Walking down the street or meeting Ranaan in any establishment you might be surprised to find out that he's a musician. He looks inconspicuously like your every day guy, has interests like sports, cooking, working out and is a pretty regular family guy married to his beautiful and supportive wife Emily and raising their 2 sons. He also takes pride in living in South Jersey, being near his extended family and is proud to be a product of South Jersey public schools. But Ranaan fell in love with jazz when he was 15 and this was his gateway into all forms of music. He went to school in Winslow Township Sicklerville, then to Washington Township Turnersville. While growing up he played in Temple Prep and The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. Ranaan attended college at the Manhattan school of Music and then transferred to the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where he met the band he cofounded, Time For Three.
