Dr. Noa Kagayama will lead a workshop on how to perform your best even under intense pressure. A Juilliard trained violinist, Dr. Kagayama has an intimate knowledge of what musicians experience.

Indeed, playing at a high level in practice, and being able to perform at that same level on stage are very different challenges, requiring unique methods of preparation.
In this session, we will explore some of the research on practice that "sticks," as well as the two causes of “choking” under pressure, and experiment with strategies that elite performers use to improve more quickly and play more confidently on stage.
This session will take place online. All Primavera Artists are required to attend. Please bring your instrument and be ready to play a very short selection. This session is only available to Primavera Artists and will not be open to the public.
