Freya Price, violinist and Violist
Freya Price is a 12 year-old violinist and violist. Freya takes pride in many of her musical accomplishments including winning second place in the Philadelphia German Society competition and competing in a concerto competition in Delaware a few years ago. She says, “When I was 8 years old I played a twelve minute-long concerto by memory for a competition in Delaware. I did not win but I am still very proud of myself.” Freya is also very proud of being in the Primavera Fund. Some things she does outside of music are reading, drawing, and painting. Freya also enjoys writing stories. She loves putting together different words and seeing how they fit. She also loves sports. It doesn’t matter what kind. When she was in the fifth grade she participated in a school pentathlon and won first place in sprinting and long jump. One of Freya’s goals is to become better at practicing so she can be an even better musician. She would also like to help connect people through music by performing and collaborating with different musicians. She hopes that this will help the classical music world grow and change into something hardly imaginable.
