My name is Noah and I’m 10 years old. I play the cello. I started the cello after my sister played the violin and my family started talking about a string instrument for me to learn. My sister’s violin teacher recommended playing the cello. When I played the cello for the first time, I liked it because of its tone. The cello is very fun to play.

I take lessons with Miss Patricia Daniels. I also participate in a piano trio coached by Mrs. Christine Danoff. It used to be a string trio. Then, it became a string quartet. Now, it’s a piano trio. This year I received the Maier Levin scholarship from Settlement Music School.  I also became a PMAY artist. Previously, I was accepted into the Sounds of Young Philadelphia. I also like to play cello at my church in an ensemble. I once played my cello with Michael Card, a Christian contemporary singer.

Along with cello, I play piano and trombone. I also like to write stories and play chess.

When I played the cello for the first time, I liked it because of its tone. The cello is very fun to play.
