Shinnyom David Park, Viola

Shinnyom David Park, sixteen years old, and attends the Charter School of Wilmington. He began studying the viola at the age of six with Shelley Beard Santore and still studies with her to this day. He received an honorable mention at the Delaware Competition for Young Musicians, the Anthony “Tony” G Simmons Merit Scholarship, and the Coastal Concert Scholarship. Currently, David is in his third as a member of the Philadelphia Youth under the baton of Maestro Scaglione and Delaware All State Orchestra. Next summer, he will be playing in a viola quintet for the American Viola Society. In the past several years, David has taught younger students one-on-one how to play the viola and performed in multiple community homes. Outside of music, David enjoys fashion, the winter time, running, and spending time with friends and family. David is extremely proud and happy to be part of the Primavera Fund and hopes to help and impact others around him in a positive way.
