Applications are open


Primavera Fund auditions will take place on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 beginning at 3pm at 240 S 20th Street (Saint Patrick Hall).

Application are due by Tuesday, May 6th. Should you meet our qualifications, you will be notified within a few weeks of your audition time. Only applicants meeting our financial qualifications will be granted an audition. Auditions will be scheduled individually.

Qualifications:

Applicants must demonstrate a strong desire for a professional life in music, and must be prepared for the commitment that that requires. Applicants must be 18 years of age or younger as of September 1st, 2025 and must attend elementary, middle, or high school, or be homeschooled.

We accept applications from students currently studying one of the following outside of school hours:

  • Violin, viola, cello, double bass

  • Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon

  • French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba

  • Harp

  • Classical voice (opera)

The Primavera Fund does NOT support the following:

  • College students or college tuition

  • School-year programs outside of Philadelphia such as Juilliard Pre-college or Interlochen School for the Arts

  • Classical guitar, piano or percussion

  • Non-classical-focused musicians

Audition requirements:

  • One solo selection

  • Two scales of your choice (one Major and one minor preferred) in as many octaves as possible

  • A short interview about your essay questions and interest in music
